Isdin Eryfotona Ak-Nmsc Fluid SPF100+ is a sunscreen indicated for the protection and treatment of sensitive skin, normal to dry, with actinic keratosis or other types of skin cancer. This care reduces and improves the field of subclinical skin cancer associated with actinic keratoses and non-melanoma skin cancers.
Exposure to the sun causes damage to cellular DNA that accumulates over the years. These lesions can manifest as mild wrinkles or spots, or more seriously as actinic keratosis AK and NMSC non-melanoma skin cancer.
Actinic keratosis are superficial lesions that appear on skin exposed to intense sunlight for long periods. They appear as small red or brownish spots with a scaly surface. They arise when the local immune system is weaker and is not able to repair cellular damage caused by prolonged exposure of the skin to UV radiation. Actinic keratoses are generally considered "precancerous" and can progress to squamous cell carcinomas and should be treated as soon as they are detected.
Although the skin has a normal appearance, sun exposure over the years causes changes that may manifest later in the form of actinic keratosis.

It is estimated that for every visible actinic keratosis, there are 10 subclinical lesions (not yet visible) in the adjacent area, forming what is called a field of cancerization.

How to use:
Apply twice a day on exposed areas. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. In case of exposure to the sun, apply half an hour before on dry skin. Reapply every 2 hours or as needed. In patients receiving pharmacological treatment or surgery for actinic keratosis and other forms of non-melanoma skin cancer, treatment with Eryfotona AK-NMSC should be started as soon as the lesions are closed.
